I\’ll try to be brief about it: 1. Mission Mode is Frustrating. From the get-go, you will find yourself in battles of 1 versus 2 or more mobile suits with enemies that love to double team you. You can win, but only if you keep track of both of your opponents. The only battles where you get a partner happen later on in the game.

Worse than that, there are other battles that are timed, forcing you to use cheap shots and fast attacks in place of whatever moves you had in mind to use for the battle. Most mobile suits have to be unlocked by going back to Mission Mode and completing every mission that you missed out on during your first playthrough. And the requirements you have to fulfill are just asanine.

It doesn\’t help that if you fail while on a mission and get a game over that you have to start the mission over from the beginning. Did you hear me? There are NO save points in a mission! Not a one! Presentation You won\’t hear the original voice actors from the Japanese or English Dub of the Gundam Seed anime here, as Bandai seems to have replaced their memorable voices with a random group of schlubs you don\’t know.

And as much as Battle Assault 3 tries to mirror the story of the anime series it was based off of, it does a poor job. So unless you\’ve seen Gundam Seed, you won\’t have a clue what\’s going on.
